Art and the Crafting of an Image

Hwy. 128 takes you through the towns of Yorkville, Booneville, and Philo Ca.
Turn North on Flynn Creek rd. and you will end up in Comptche, Ca.
This one store town inhabits approximately 159 people in Mendocino County.

I found art in nature when I captured this image of buckwheat grass and redwood background in Comptche, Ca. 2011.
(Shown here in it's original form)

Here, it's cropped with color added and effects to match my design, and ready for display.
For me, it now has a warm mood and provokes feeling.
Tall spring grass shooting upward and cradling the life giving sun...
 Inspiring.

If you head through Calistoga, Ca. to Hwy 29 you will find your way to Silverado Trail and Napa, a plethora of vineyards and art with photo opportunities galore.

This is my original image taken of a bronze statue at Black Stallion Winery, Napa, Ca. 2011.

Again, slightly cropped with added color and effects to match my blog scheme.
(The latest backdrop for my blog)
Crazy stallion thrusting toward the sun, a wisp of cloud passes through his wild mane...
Powerful.

This is the original image of a sculpture hanging inside the Kathrine Hall Winery Tasting room

I find it more interesting horizontal, seen here with effects and refinements.
Spiral of a Shadow's Duplicity

The sun rises on Napa County and a common scene in the valley.
I've never taken a balloon flight. It looks inspiring.

These are wine tanks in the cave cellars at Kathrine Hall Winery.
The red cast from neon light sculptures illuminate, while playing artfully on the textured stainless steel wine tanks.

This, a self portrait inside the Kathrine Hall wine cave where the magic happens.

As you can see. I love shooting directly in to the sun.
The Sun shaded by scalloped clouds at B R Cohn Winery.
